Propaganda Sucks
Mar. 24th, 2025 09:46 am Was going to post this on Bsky/Mastodon but then remembered I have a Dreamwidth for posting things I want to say publicly but maybe not on bigger platforms. Lol.

Every evidence trying to show the contrary is dismissed as lies and I know I shouldn't engage but these are good people totally brainwashed and it sucks.

Communities on Tumblr
Dec. 13th, 2024 09:02 amTumblr has introduced communities to their blogging platform and I'm staring at them like: I've failed at joining and particpating in communities on Dreamwidth, which are set up infinitely better and more familiar because I remember how they work from before Livejournal censored everything.
What makes you think I'm going to use these on Tumblr?
Get rid of that button at the bottom of my app. I'm not clicking it. XD
Also, it doesn't look all that much different from Tags if I'm being perfectly honest. So I'm even more confused why its there.

When you want to do your part and comment on fanfiction to make up for the dramatic drop in reader interactions over the years, but also nothing on your "To Comment" list looks like something you want to read at the moment.
Makes for a frustrating time. I have over 900 AO3 bookmarks. Half of those have "To Comment" on the bookmark tags. The material is there.
But it's like when you're hungry and you open the fridge and nothing looks good. There's food there. There's food in the cabinets. But you just...don't want any of it.
So I'm just sitting here anxious and aggravated because I want to get out there and comment to make up for my own desire to click the "refresh button" over and over to see if my fics have any new comments, but I'm just.
Not doing it.
Makes me want to scream a little. Ah, fun time in fandom.
*metaphorically puts head on desk and covers it with arms*

Nov. 12th, 2024 08:45 pm I may have made a mistake crossposting things.
Because I'm looking back and seeing that I have only a select few Fanfic crossposted....out of hundreds.
I only have a handful of Tumblr posts crossposted...out of thousands.
My "ALL OR NOTHING" internal anxiety is now like "What do."
Because I am not going through the mass crossposting again. And deciding "what's good enough to double and fill out my Dreamwidth Journal" and "What can I leave on Tumblr" are competing in my head.
Followed by "Because you backdated posts, your first Dreamwidth Blog post is now no longer the first post if someone goes all the way to the end."
AND THEN while reading the Latest page and seeing everyone's daily activity journal entries I'm super nostalgic for the Live Journal days when I used it for near exclusively a journal. And I miss that. Despite having two physical journals next to me (one for daily things and one for venting).
Which all just results in internal screaming. Lol.
P.S. AND SPEAKING of Live Journal nostalgia...I need more icons. T-T

And I'm like. Everyone on these lists has expressed they don't want "Proshippers" interacting with then.
If they are all muted, we won't interact with them.
It is literally a win-win. What is not to understand. XD
