Last year, I started keeping a therapy-ish journal, where I'd write down my vented feelings and frustrations. I used to talk to friends about that sort of thing, but 1) the friends I spoke to stopped contact (not related) and I also felt like I was burdening people, despite trying my best to spread it out.

So a journal it was! And it's been very helpful (when I remember to do it).

That said, it's also a little pit of negativity. On really bad days where I dump multiple things, I try my hardest to end it with some positives to lift the mood, but it's still overwhelming negative content when I flip through older entries.

So I decided today to start a Gratitude and Wins pocket journal to carry around with me. I'm going to use it to list only good things, so I can browse through it when I'm feeling down.

(And maybe a vent entry here or there if I'm desperate, since I'll have it on me, unlike the vent journal that stays at home.)

My goal is to have it in more of a list format so it's easier to browse.

  • Win: Joined Ellipsus.
  • Gratitude: My friends are great.
We'll see how that goes. I've been making lots of big life changes lately, so it's been a pinch overwhelming. Time to focus on positivies and keep that mental health going. XD The Lexapro can't do it all.
