I'm going to end up hating Dabi aren't I?

Disclaimer: I'm dirt tired. I tried to go to bed a while ago and I'm still awake and it sucks. I saw a major spoiler for My Hero Academia (that well, everyone and their mother guessed already so is it that big of a spoiler? Anyway. I have thoughts and I'm going to type them here because I started to post it on Discord, immediately regretted it and deleted it. And I'm not touching Tumblr or Twitter with these thoughts.
Too tired to deal with anything else.
But I have a Dreamwidth Blog with minimal readers.
It is a safe place for these tired thoughts.
Ahem. There are spoilers below the "Read More."
So, Dabi's Touya Todoroki.
I won't lie, I always kinda of wanted that to be a red herring. They were setting up for it so hard that I thought it'd be a bigger twist if he wasn't Touya.
I think a lot of that stems from the fact fandom likes to use his past as a way to justify all of his actions. "He's a villain because Endeavor hurt him. He kills people, but it's okay! He was hurt! Dabi isn't to blame for his actions because he was abused." I see it over and over. Maybe not in that explicit of words, but there's definitely a lot of Dabi redemption fics out there that make him out to be a poor abused child and that Endeavor deserves to be slaughtered, taken down, killed, whatever because of it.
On the one hand, I like redemption stories. Honestly I'm enjoying Endeavor's right now.
If Dabi has a redemption story, I won't be against it.
But part of redemption is acknowledging that you did wrong and that you want to be better--DABI ISN'T DOING THAT. ENDEAVOR IS.
Now that Dabi has been revealed to Touya Todoroki in Canon, I'm afraid that the things that drive me nuts about his fanon interpretation is going to skyrocket tenfold -- and I've already seen it. I've seen people praising him for flaunting who he is and how Endeavor hurt him on Television. Celebrating that he's going to knock Endeavor and the Hero Society out of site.
And I just. I'm too tired to read it.
Because I look at them this way:
Endeavor:
Between the two, I still see Dabi as the bad guy here.
I love his character.
I love him as a bad guy.
I could even see redemption in his future if his family decides to try and reach out to him and apologize.
But it just...kinda makes me sad people want to use Dabi's possible redemption and his actions to destroy people. Tearing down Endeavor is not going to help his family. Making Endeavor suffer is not going to help his family. It's not going to help anyone.
I get people like revenge fantasies and maybe that's the appeal here, but I just...I dunno.
Those are my tired thoughts for now. Xd

Because I look at them this way:
Endeavor:
- Hurt his family (Note: Likely unintentionally. While not an excuse for his actions, motives do matter and his entire situation feels like he lost himself and things got out of control because he was too hyper focused on All Might to see what he was doing.)
- Acknowledged he made a mistake.
- Is trying to fix it to the best of his ability.
- Desperately trying to put the ones he hurt first above himself.
- Was hurt. (Dabi's anger at his family is justified. I will give him that much.)
- Decided to lash out and hurt people.
- Has killed many, many people.
- Is actively working for the Villains to hurt people.
- Is going out of his way to make his family hurt and pay for what they did to him.
- Shows absolutely zero signs of remorse (save for maybe that tiny message to his Mom).
