Flowers in the Attic

 Oh, hey. My Dreamwidth journal where I can talk about things I don't want to deal with drama on other social media sites. XD

Watching someone on YouTube cover Flowers in the Attic by V.C. Andrews. She seems to think it pulpy and overly romantically written wish fulfillment considering the subject matter.

When I first read the book a couple years ago my first thoughts were:

• This isn't nearly as bad as people said
• Nothing changes bc there's tons of this same sort of fiction on AO3 (incest, non-con, captivity, etc)

So it's always interesting to see someone else's perspective who still finds it disturbing. Lol.
